About the Role

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our accounts team.

The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day accounting functions of the dealership and will gain valuable hands-on experience across a range of accounting activities.

Full training and support will be provided, with the opportunity to develop your skills and take on additional responsibilities as your experience grows. This role would suit someone with previous accounts experience, as well as a recent graduate looking to develop their career in accounting.

Key Responsibilities

Candidate Requirements

  • A relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
  • A strong interest in pursuing a professional accountancy qualification.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase Ledger

  • Process supplier invoices on the accounts system, ensuring all required approvals and authorizations are obtained.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of supplier statements.
  • Prepare supplier payment runs for approval.

Debtors Ledger

  • Monitor aged debtor reports and ensure customer credit terms are adhered to.
  • Communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances.
  • Allocate customer receipts accurately within the accounts system.

Banking

  • Process daily bank receipts and payments.
  • Complete regular bank reconciliations.

Accounts Preparation

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Conduct variance analysis on expenses and other financial information.
  • Support the finance team with additional accounting and reporting tasks.

General Duties

  • Undertake various ad hoc finance and administrative duties as required.
  • Assist with projects and process improvements within the finance department.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and servicing vehicles within our Service Department. You will be expected to deliver work of the highest standard, in line with manufacturer specifications and the processes and standards set out by the Blackwater Motors Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and service vehicles to the highest standards and in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Use diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach to accurately identify and rectify vehicle faults.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the latest vehicle technologies and the appropriate diagnostic and repair procedures.
  • Complete all relevant service documentation using our paperless process through the Tech Plus app.
  • Maintain a high-quality work ethic, with excellent attention to detail.

The role:
