The role is highly customer focused and requires an understanding of the importance of providing top class customer service.

Key Duties:

• Manage service inquiries
• Set up jobs on dealer system, create job cards and invoice work
• Communicate and agree work to be carried out with customers
• Explain the work carried out on vehicles, ensuring customers fully understand the invoice
• Any other tasks as per the Service & Parts Manager.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills.
• Positive, can -do attitude.
• Full, clean driving license.

Experience desirable but not essential, full training will be provided.

Qualified Service Technician - Blackwater Motors Volkswagen Cork City

Blackwater Motors Volkswagen Cork City is currently recruiting for a qualified Service Technician to join our team.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and servicing vehicles within our Service Department. You will be expected to deliver work of the highest standard, in line with manufacturer specifications and the processes and standards set out by the Blackwater Motors Group.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and service vehicles to the highest standards and in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Use diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach to accurately identify and rectify vehicle faults.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the latest vehicle technologies and the appropriate diagnostic and repair procedures.
• Complete all relevant service documentation using our paperless process through the Tech Plus app.
• Maintain a high-quality work ethic, with excellent attention to detail.
• Demonstrate strong communication and IT skills, including the ability to identify and clearly explain additional work required. Use our online Vehicle Health Check (VHC) system to record videos and photographs where necessary.

• Experience in vehicle servicing and repairs.
