Blackwater Motors Skibbereen are recruiting for a Qualified/4th/3rd Year Technician to join their busy team.

The role will report directly to the Service Manager.


Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair and service all vehicles to the highest of standards and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
  • Use of diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach, ensure vehicle faults are diagnosed and rectified in a timely & efficient manner
  • Ensure full understanding of latest technology on the vehicle range, and how to diagnose & repair faults on associated vehicles
  • Ensure all relevant service documentation is accurate and complete using our web-based app: Tech Plus in line with our non-paperless processes and guidelines
  • Use VHC system to record videos and photos, and explain any additional work required
  • High quality work ethic, with exceptional attention to detail being of utmost importance
  • Meet the efficiency standards on the aftersales department


Skills and Competencies:

  • A full and valid driving license is essential for the role
  • Experience in vehicle services and repairs essential
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Have strong IT skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Work independently in a busy, active environment, managing own time and workflow effectively
  • Capability to work, and succeed, in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail is fundamental to ensure exceptional quality is consistently delivered
