The Role

As Trainee Aftersales Advisor, you will work closely with our Service and Parts teams to deliver a professional and friendly experience to our customers. You will develop your knowledge of vehicle servicing and repairs while gaining valuable experience in a busy dealership environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcoming customers to the Aftersales department and providing a professional first point of contact.
  • Booking vehicles in for servicing, repairs and maintenance.
  • Keeping customers updated throughout the service and repair process.
  • Liaising with technicians and the Parts department to ensure work is completed efficiently.
  • Preparing and explaining service and repair estimates to customers.
  • Answering customer queries and dealing with requests in a helpful professional manner.
  • Maintaining accurate customer and vehicle records.
  • Supporting the Service Advisors and Parts team with day-to-day administration.
  • Following manufacturer and dealership processes and procedures.
  • Helping to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction at all times.

Qualified Service Technician - Blackwater Motors Volkswagen Cork City

Blackwater Motors Volkswagen Cork City is currently recruiting for a qualified Service Technician to join our team.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and servicing vehicles within our Service Department. You will be expected to deliver work of the highest standard, in line with manufacturer specifications and the processes and standards set out by the Blackwater Motors Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and service vehicles to the highest standards and in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Use diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach to accurately identify and rectify vehicle faults.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the latest vehicle technologies and the appropriate diagnostic and repair procedures.
  • Complete all relevant service documentation using our paperless process through the Tech Plus app.
  • Maintain a high-quality work ethic, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and IT skills, including the ability to identify and clearly explain additional work required. Use our online Vehicle Health Check (VHC) system to record videos and photographs where necessary.

Skills and Competencies

  • Experience in vehicle servicing and repairs.

Workshop Controller- Blackwater Motors Volkswagen Cork City

At Blackwater Motors Volkswagen Cork City, we are recruiting a Workshop Controller to join our busy dealership, located on Forge Hill.

The role:

The role will report to the Service Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our workshop, ensuring the timely flow of work and that vehicles are repaired efficiently, correctly, and on time.

Role Responsibilities:

-Plan and control daily workshop schedules and workflow
-Allocate work across technicians based on skills and hours availability
-Monitor job progress to ensure in compliance with Volkswagen guidelines
-Prioritize workshop jobs
-Liaise with the Parts Department to co-ordinate parts requirements
-Adhere to high health and safety standards
-Maintain a tidy workshop to achieve the highest standards of workshop presentation

Requirements:
-Previous experience in an automotive workshop or dealership environment is desirable
-Ability to manage multiple jobs in a fast-paced workshop environment
-Team-focused with a proactive approach to problem solving
-Time management skills
-Full clean drivers license
